The BMW 7 Series is primarily designed to transport important individuals from point A to point B. Some individuals are so crucial that they require enhanced protection, which BMW provides with its Protection variant, now also available in an electric version for the first time.

This luxury sedan has been extensively secured, featuring armored windows, a body structure made from armored steel, and protections for the roof and underbody, meeting VR9 resistance class standards. In the realm of glass, it even meets the highest civilian resistance class, VPAM 10. Optionally, the 7 Series Protection can also be modified to VPAM 10 in defined body areas.

Despite its length of 5.40 meters, the BMW 7 Series Protection remains highly maneuverable thanks to Integral Active Steering and rear-wheel steering, facilitating efficient maneuvering. Its wheel arches house 20-inch wheels with Pax tires specially developed by Michelin, allowing continued driving at speeds up to 80 km/h even in the event of complete pressure loss.

Inside, the comfort of the BMW 7 Series is maintained and enhanced by features such as camera-based exterior mirrors and an intercom system that allows communication with individuals outside the vehicle without opening doors or windows. Further specialized customizations tailored to individual customer needs are also available.

Die Luxuslimousine wurde aufwendig abgesichert, beinhaltet unter anderem gepanzerte Scheiben, eine Karosseriestruktur aus Panzerstahl, Panzerungen für Dach und Unterboden. Damit sind Anforderungen Widerstandsklasse VR9 erfüllt. Im Bereich der Verglasung wird sogar die höchste zivile Widerstandsklasse VPAM 10 erfüllt. Optional kann der 7er Protection in definierten Karosseriebereichen ebenfalls auf VPAM 10 modifiziert werden.

Dank Integral-Aktivlenkung und den mitlenkenden Hinterrädern ist der BMW 7er Protection trotz seiner Länge von 5,40 Meter extrem wendig und ermöglicht somit ein effizienteres Rangieren. In den Radkästen schlummern 20-Zöller mit Pax-Bereifung. Die speziell von Michelin entwickelten Reifen ermöglichen auch bei völligem Druckverlust eine Weiterfahrt von bis zu 80 km/h.  

Im Innenraum bleibt der Komfort des BMW 7er erhalten, wird aber noch durch einige Features wie einem kamerabasierten Außenspiegel oder auch einer Wechselsprechanlage, die es ermöglicht, mit Personen außerhalb des Fahrzeugs zu kommunizieren ohne dabei die Tür oder das Fenster zu öffnen. Weitere spezielle Individualisierungen, die jeweils auf den Kunden zugeschnitten werden, sind machbar.
